Distribution and habitat
The plants grow along the valleys of western Rio Moctezuma and its tributaries in the states of Hidalgo, Queretaro, Guanajuato and San Luis Potosi, at an altitude from 1000 to 1400 meters above sea level. The distribution-territory covers an area that you can compare with Switzerland.
