A. coahuilense X A. myriostigma
Es ist richtig, dass man Astrophytum coahuilense und Astrophytum myriostigma unter normalen Umständen nie kreuzen kann. Die hier abgebildete Pflanze sollte es eigentlich gar nicht geben. Man kann die Kreuzungsbarriere aber manchmal durch sogenannte Reizbestäubung überwinden. In meinem Fall habe ich den Eigenpollen von Astrophytum coahuilense mit Pollen eines Astrophytum myriostigma gemischt und damit dieses Astrophytum coahuilense eigenbestäubt. Ich hatte großes Glück eine Hybride zu erzeuen.
/ It is right that one never can cross Astrophytum coahuilense and Astrophytum myriostigma under normal circumstances. The plant shown shouldn't exist at all. However, one can overcome the intersection barrier by so-called "stimulation-pollination" (in German: Reizbestäubung) sometimes. In my case I have mixed the own pollen of Astrophytum coahuilense with pollen of an Astrophytum myriostigma from Jaumave (San Antonio) and then pollinated the stigmas of the Coahuilense with this mixture. I was very lucky to get a fruit with hybrid seeds. The result shows a plant with a morphology most related to Myriostigma but with all generative signs (flower, fruit) from Coahuilense.
